Passport Original, signed, with 6+ months of validity remaining and at least 2 blank visa pages.
Application & Photo A completed online application form (printed and signed) plus one physical, recent 48mm x 33mm photo with a white background.
Travel Documents Round-trip flight itineraries and hotel bookings, or an official invitation letter from an entity or individual in China.
Proof of Residency If you are applying outside of your home country, you must provide proof of legal local residency.

Steps to Apply for a Standard Visa

  1. Book an Appointment: Schedule an appointment online to submit your documents and provide your fingerprints at a Chinese Visa Application Service Center.
  2. Timing is Everything: Start this process at least 1 to 3 months before your intended travel date. Standard processing typically takes 4 working days.
  3. Know Your Visa Type: The most common visas are L (Tourist), M (Business), and Q (Family Visit).
